If you were hoping that things were getting better for Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger, then you’re about to be let down.
The couple has only been married a little over a year, but things have been rocky for the rockers. A source explained their current status, saying:
“Things still aren’t good. But Avril’s friends are encouraging her to try and work it out. They don’t like Chad, but she’s already been through one painful divorce and they don’t want to see her going through another unless there’s no other option. Also, she and Chad haven’t been married that long so her friends want her to make sure she’s given it every chance before pulling the plug.”

Sadly, it seems like their problems are stemming from Avril trying to figure out what direction she wants her life to go in, which involves becoming a mom! The source went on to say:
“Motherhood is something she really wants for herself. So this thing with Chad, it’s going to go one of two ways. Either they’re going to get rid of each other or there’s a shot they might try to have a baby to save the marriage. My bet is they end up splitting.”
Having a baby to save a marriage might not be the best route, but having one because they both want a baby would be great!
Either way, we hope these two end up finding happiness!
