Breaking up always sucks!
Chelsea Handler dumped her boyfriend and CEO of Comcast Entertainment Group Ted Harbert and supposedly he’s taking it pretty hard!
Ted was spotted at the hotel bar of Tribeca Grand regaling the bartender and other guests with the whole story. An insider explains:
“He was alone and talking to the bartender about what had happened. He was saying that it was hard because Chelsea is so much in the limelight. He looked devastated.”
Chelsea’s latest memoir Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is due for release in March and there are hints that things weren’t always peachy in their relationship:
“My boyfriend is similar to a large toddler … He’s very animated and has a lot of energy and wants to exert it all at the same time on a variety of activities. It’s not a secret this can be incredibly annoying.”
Chelsea also notes a time after watching the Sex and the City movie when she said to him, “P-promise you’ll n-n-never do anything that will make me break up with you.” Ted’s reply?
“I would never do that to you. You’ll probably do it to me, but I would never do it to you.”
Sad, but you never know! These two broke up once before and got back together so who knows what could happen?
Update: An insider has confirmed to PerezHilton.com that Ted never said those things to the bartender. In fact, he wasn’t even at that hotel, he was in Brentwood, CA, when that conversation reportedly took place.
