Chris Brown Slams Rape Accuser With Defamation Lawsuit Amid Reports That Police Didn't Buy Her Story

Chris Brown didn’t wait long to slam his rape accuser with a big ol’ defamation lawsuit. 
The 29-year-old singer’s Parisian lawyer Raphael Chiche filed a complaint with the Paris Public Prosecutor on Thursday, accusing the 24-year-old woman, identified by her initials K.M., of making “false accusations” against his client.
According to multiple outlets, the docs cite a French statue that states anyone making an accusation to authorities that they know is false can be punished with five years in prison. It also sites a law relating to invasion of privacy that carries a 1-year prison sentence if violated.

It’s no big shock that Brown and his attorney are throwing down the hammer. A source told TMZ that the R&B star feels he’s become an “easy target for anyone to cry wolf” due to his “issues in the past.”
He also vehemently denied the accusations in a strongly worded social media post, calling his accuser a lying “b!tch.”
And while they probably wouldn’t use those same exact words, investigators apparently found the woman’s story almost impossible to believe. A separate source connected to the case told TMZ that the “weakest part of the case is the alleged victim’s statement to police.”

Per the outlet, the alleged victim told police that Brown raped her in his hotel suite dressing room for somewhere between 25 and 30 minutes. She claimed she then went into another room and was raped again by one of Brown’s friends. After that, she claims she was “abused” for a third time in yet another room.
Police reportedly believed the statement didn’t hold up because the woman never tried to leave or alert any of the approximately 20 other people in the living room. Not only did officials decide to release Brown without any conditions, a source told the outlet that officers actually apologized to him when they let him go.
That might be why, since his release on Tuesday, Breezy’s been doing nothing but smiling and literally dancing his way through Paris filming a music video.
But it ain’t over yet. Although the embattled singer is free, the investigation is still ongoing.
