As Captain America, Chris Evans embodied pure goodness like no other character in modern movies.
But now after an impressive nine films in the box office-dominating Marvel Cinematic Universe, he’s finally hanging up the shield for good.

Chris has talked about walking away before, but he confirmed this was officially the end of his filming as Steve Rogers in an emotional tweet Thursday, writing:
Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.
