Christna Applegate’s friends are reportedly fearing the WORST amid her hospitalization!
On Thursday, sources informed TMZ the Anchorman star, who was diagnosed with MS in 2021, was admitted into a Los Angeles hospital late last month. Details on why she had to go are sparse, but as she revealed in her memoir You With the Sad Eyes, her MS diagnosis makes her more easily susceptible to infections, and therefore ER visits. In a statement to TMZ, Christina’s rep did little to reassure worried fans:
“I have no comment whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are. She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.”
Now, more troublesome details are emerging.

On Saturday, an insider spoke to DailyMail.com about how the Dead to Me actress’ friends are navigating her most recent hospital stay:
“With every setback, if we are being realistic, everyone has it in the back of their minds that they might not have a tomorrow with her.”
Whoa… That’s REALLY scary! The source went on to explain:
“Christina is a fighter, but her battle with MS has been treacherous. She has better days and really bad days; she doesn’t have great days. She’s always dealing with something. It sucks.”
That’s so heartbreaking to hear. We can only imagine how taxing that is not only on Christina’s physical health, but on her mental health as well. The source continued:
“But when she does look at things positively it makes her feel better in the moment because she has so many friends that are there for her, even to listen to her, cry with her and anything in between.”
We’re so glad to hear she has such an amazing support system! Her health battle would probably be MUCH harder to navigate without it.
In 2024, Christina vulnerably admitted on her MeSsy podcast that she was in a deep, “f**k all” depression and that she did not “enjoy living” anymore. So heartbreaking. She later clarified she was just doing a bit of necessary venting. Fast forward to now, the DM source assured the outlet:
“She’s in rough shape. But people aren’t thinking that this is the end. Nobody is planning to be at a funeral. Granted, her disease will take her sooner than anyone would like it to be, but everyone has trust in her medical team and her will to live.”
Our hearts are with Christina! We’re sending so much healing energy her way. Share your supportive words in the comments down below!
