Scottish Pop Band Chvrches Says They're Getting Death Threats For Calling Out Chris Brown...

Scottish pop band Chvrches is having a rough go of it on social media this week after Chris Brown‘s fans are reacting to the group taking a stand against the pop star with a lot of violent, dangerous talk.
It all started a few days ago, when Chvrches opted to go on social media to call out Marshmello for choosing to work with both CB and Tyga — two men not exactly known for the progressive, forward-thinking views on women — and things escalated from there.

Here was the original social media post from a few days ago that landed Chvrches in hot water with Breezy’s fans (below):

Wow!
Talk about taking a stand for what you believe in!

Well now, Lauren Mayberry — the Scottish group’s lead singer — went on quite the long rant before the group’s Saturday night show in Texas, admitting that she was getting death threats for speaking out against Breezy while also explaining and clarifying her position about the pop star and more.
As far as Mayberry is concerned, the fact that CB’s fans are sending her death threats kind of proves the point that the environment here is toxic, and it’s on Mello to have seen that and realized that collaborating with those two artists in particular — who the band says are “predators and abusers” of women — maybe wasn’t the smartest idea the DJ could have made.
Of course, Chris Brown has a long history of altercations and interactions with women, including pleading guilty to felony assault of Rihanna back in 2009. As you might recall, too, he is currently the subject of an ongoing lawsuit regarding an alleged rape that took place in Paris, as well.

Brown has previously clapped back at Chvrches, calling them out on his own Instagram page as a “BUNCH OF LOSERS” and wishing they “walked in front of a speeding bus full of mental patients.” Yeah…
Whatever the case, Breezy’s fans obviously are taking things way too far if death and rape threats are involved, and that’s kind of the point. Mayberry can boycott whomever she pleases — so can Brown, for that matter — but violent threats have no place in civilized debate and discussion. Period!!
What do U think about all these crazy — and, frankly, kind of scary — developments, Perezcious readers?! Sound OFF with your opinions about it all in the comments (below)…
