Remember when Dakota Johnson did that pap walk to overtly show everyone she was definitely still wearing her engagement ring? And therefore had definitely not broken up with Chris Martin, as had been reported?
Well, it’s apparently not worth keeping up the charade if it clashes with an outfit that is otherwise absolute perfection!
The Suspiria star made an exceptionally glamorous appearance at the Kering Foundation‘s Third Annual Caring for Women Dinner at The Pool in New York City on Monday night. And we have rarely seen such a classy, pristine display!
Dakota rocked a custom Gucci gown with crystal embellishments by Sabato De Sarno.
Just… red carpet perfection.
Perfetto!
But these photos are forever. And like we said, maybe you don’t want to spoil them with a bit of… well, frankly what amounts to costume jewelry if reports of the breakup are true!
See, we’ve heard that ring photo was just to delay the inevitable — so Dakota could deal with the breakup fallout in her own way on her own time. But the split is all too real, and pretty callow on Martin’s part from what we’ve heard.
Hence… no ring when it really matters!
