Well that was fast!!
Last night marked the second episode of DWTS, which meant it was finally time to send someone home! However, host Tom Bergeron made a surprising announcement and said they’d be eliminating not one, but TWO contestants this week!
The first dancer to get the axe was swimmer Diana Nyad, who proved to be a fish out of water last week when she earned the second lowest score of the night. Despite being eliminated, she was all smiles and said she was NOT going home without doing her routine as she and Henry Byalikov did one final farewell foxtrot!
The next couple sent packing was hockey player Sean Avery and Karina Smirnoff, who saw a slight improvement from their score since last week after an impressive salsa! Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to save their spot on the show! What are we going to do without Karina?!?
Saying goodbye is never an easy thing to do, but at least Sean and Diana can go home with their heads held high knowing they gave it their best shot! Well done, guys!
