Alfonso Ribeiro Will Host Dancing With The Stars While Tom Bergeron Takes Care Of His Sick Father

Tom Bergeron has been the face of Dancing with the Stars ever since the Reality TV show premiered back in 2005, but on Monday night’s brand-new episode, a familiar face will be stepping in to host.
It was announced on Sunday that Season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro would be hosting October 5’s live episode as Tom needs to take time off to be with his ailing father.

The Fresh Prince star will still have Erin Andrews by his side as co-host should anything get too difficult for him to handle, but based off his Mirrorball win last year, we have a feeling he’ll be just fine.
Plus, ABC must enjoy Alfonso‘s trademarked sense of humor, because his first season of AFV happens to premiere next Sunday!
Tom will return to his regular hosting duties on October 12, barred anything else unfortunate happening.
