Daveigh Chase’s dad is honoring her on what would’ve been her birthday.
As we previously reported, the Lilo & Stitch actress passed away in June from AIDs. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death, saying she suffered from acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. Meanwhile, chronic polysubstance use (the use of multiple drugs) was listed as an additional factor. Her manner of death was listed as natural.

Daveigh’s death has devastated friends and family, who spent a long time searching for her, including in Los Angeles’ Skid Row, after she went MIA. It is an especially hard time for those who loved her right now, as the Ring star should’ve celebrated her 36th birthday on Friday. To mark the day, her father, John Schwallier, paid tribute to her to Dailymail.com. He said:
“Every day I am thinking about her constantly. The sad part is the only pictures I have of [Daveigh] is what I’ve printed on the internet, since her mother kept me away from her. She was taken from this life way too early. I just want to wish her a happy birthday today and [tell her] that she is on my mind every day.”
