David Eason isn’t mad, he’s actually laughing… or something.
That’s what he wants the world to know, at least, in one of his first public comments since splitting from reality TV star Jenelle Evans late last month. And even though it appears the momma is the one who initiated the breakup at the time, David is making it clear he’s actually happier without her, and it’s better she’s gone.

In a recent update to his public Facebook page, the former reality TV costar shared some of his thoughts, claiming both he and his 12-year-old daughter Maryssa are doing better after the split, as you can see (below):
“Glad u people think I am taking this so hard. Just so u all know I am so very much happier and so is Maryssa! Finally peaceful!”
Maryssa, of course, is David’s daughter from a previous relationship; she stayed with him after Jenelle left last month. The Teen Mom 2 alum took two-year-old daughter Ensley, whom she and David share, with her when she left for good.

As you can see (below), when the avid hunter and gun nut posted that eyebrow-raising status to his social media page, his account was flooded with comments from fans, friends, and followers as well:
And it was in one of Eason’s responses to a comment where we also (supposedly) learned that the 31-year-old wasn’t in love with Jenelle any more at the time of the breakup:
“I’m not heart broken. I’ve realized I wasn’t in love and there are much better people out there for me.”
Hmmm… That may be true, of course.
It may also be a guy who got dumped who’s now trying to save face on social media. Ya know???
Meanwhile…
It’s pretty clear Jenelle has (thankfully) moved on. An insider dished to E! News about her transition back into single life, noting the future looks a little brighter now for the 27-year-old without her controversial ex in her life:
“She is doing really well now that she is away from David and North Carolina. The kids are not just fine. They are thriving. It is an atrocity what they have all been through.”
No kidding.
And Evans maaaaaybe has a new (old) love interest brewing, too, so perhaps there’s something sweet waiting up ahead for the reality TV maven??
