Will Jenelle Evans get her way, and return to the Teen Mom family, now that she has officially split from her husband David Eason?
According to sources close to the alum who spoke about the matter to TMZ, the former reality TV star is “desperate” for MTV to rehire her onto the show ASAP. And based on this reporting, it sounds like there are major money troubles at play here. Uh-oh…

This all started on Thursday when, as we reported at the time, the North Carolina native announced she’d officially split from Eason, her husband of two years. And while the breakup itself may have been a long time in coming — not to mention completely warranted on Jenelle’s part for a variety of reasons — the consequences of the last few months have been tough on the young mom.
Per the sources, Evans apparently “wasn’t financially prepared” when the network first canned her a few months back after David killed Nugget, the family’s beloved French bulldog. She did have a cosmetic line, but insiders indicate it wasn’t doing very well, and slowly but surely after several months away from MTV, Jenelle’s cash reserves ran dry.
Now, the controversial ex-TV star is trying to get back in the game, and is attempting to set up a meeting with MTV execs in New York City at some point soon. Her pitch to the network is simple: she was a bona fide ratings-grabber when she was on the show, and she can be that again — not to mention the fact that she’s got a much higher profile now after going through what she did over the last six months with David.
Also at play here is the idea of fault; according to the sources, Jenelle’s whole argument revolves around her take that she did nothing wrong in the Nugget situation. It was David who killed the dog, after all, and now that she’s cut him loose, she ought to be free of his past transgressions. Or something…
Regardless, the momma of three is hoping for a quick “yes” from execs and a green light to start filming, like, ASAP; per the insiders, Jenelle believes a couple holiday specials would do the trick.
