On April 10, Debbie stopped by Sirius Radio‘s Just Jenny‘s radio show to discuss music icons — and naturally, the queen of pop, Madonna, came up in conversation.

Considering Gibson herself has been on the scene for a while, she obviously expressed an affinity for the music legend’s struggle to combat the prejudice of age in the music business.
Deb explained:

“I think there should be a campaign by celebrities that these tabloid magazines should not be allowed to print your age every time they print your name because wall they do is drum a perception in that may or may not be true about├óΓé¼┬ªsomebody’s forty is not someone else’s forty. Fergie’s forty is not whoever’s forty and let’s just let people live as themselves ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ so here’s this person with new music why is the age attachment so important?”

So true, Debbie! If y’all saw Madge’s fabulous video for Ghosttown earlier this week then you’d know that age is nothing but a number!!
The singer added:

“Madonna continues to like have to be the person to always pioneer something and change people’s thoughts.”

Yeah, the 56-year-old’s music should speak for itself — she doesn’t have to prove herself to anyone!
