UGG Australia and Emu Australia have finally reached a settlement in their legal battle over the word “ugg”.
In case you forgot, last year UGG Australia owner Decker Outdoor Corporation filed a trademark infringement against Emu saying their boots are “deliberately confusing customers”.
Emu then filed a counter-claim, arguing UGG’s trademark was obtained after a false statement to the US Trademark Office.
Now almost 9 months later, both sides have come to an agreement and the lawsuits will be completely dismissed.
