Demi Lovato is broadening her horizons!
A source tells Us Weekly the Confident singer is only “casually dating” Mike Johnson after weeks of serious social media flirting, noting they’re having fun and not taking things too seriously!
The insider dished:
“Demi and Mike’s relationship isn’t anything serious. Now that Demi has had ample time to get her life back on track, particularly from a sobriety perspective, she is broadening her horizons and starting to put herself out there a bit more.”
That she’s definitely been doing!

As we reported, the songstress openly thirsted after the portfolio manager during his stint on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. During the airing of season 15 back in July, Demi shared on Instagram:
“Mike, I accept your rose.”
She later followed up in another post:
“He always picks [Brown] up and swings her when he hugs her. Swing me.”
Just a few months later, the two were reportedly seen sharing a meal at the Beverly Hills restaurant La Scala. The 31-year-old reality star went on to confirm he went on a date with the “astounding and amazing” Grammy nominee, telling ET:
“She’s incredibly humble. When Demi and I are together, it’s laughter and we talk about real s**t. Like, she’s a down-to-earth woman and I respect it so much. And she’s just a really humble, really cool, really fun, down-to-earth person.”
Well, Demi apparently feels the same way!
The Us source explained:
“She thinks Mike is funny [and] smart. He makes her laugh and is respectful of her boundaries. All of these qualities are very important and intriguing to Demi.”
As the makeout buddies should be!
The insider said Demi’s family “isn’t too invested” in Mike as a long term relationship for her, but they “think he’s a nice guy” and are “collectively seeing where things go.”
Johnson isn’t the only Bachelor Nation star Demi’s gotten close with over the past few months: she’s also still tight with Season 15 Bachelorette herself, Miss Hannah B.!

As fans will know, Demi and Hannah became quick friends when they were united backstage at the Bachelorette finale. In the weeks since, they’ve shared their friendship on IG and apparently have only gotten closer.
