Sure, it’s been a while since Demi Lovato was spotted hanging with Niall Horan, but we knew they were both totes busy and hoped they’d reunite once things slowed down.
Unfortunately, it sounds like a few bad Directioners are ruining the romance for the rest of us!
Demi recently opened up to Heat magazine to explain why the two fizzled out as FRIENDS – and in our opinion, potential luvahs. When asked if they still hang out, she said:
“Not really. Unfortunately, as sweet as he is, it’s hard to maintain a friendship with somebody that you really can’t hang out with without people automatically assuming that you’re dating … People tweeted and either said really nice things or rude things. More nice than bad, I guess.”
Awww! Well, we are glad to hear more people were Team Nemi than not!
And we understand how Demi would be cautious about hanging with another boy bander after going through some other fan rage when she dated the Jonas Brothers‘ very own Joe Jonas!
We just hope fans don’t keep her from living her life how she wants! We’ll be there to support your One Direction romance if it happens, DemDem!
