She’s freed herself of her man and now she’s signed on to play the ultimate feminist!
There is a lot of buzz about town about the new Linda Lovelace flick, especially since some very acclaimed actors and actresses have agreed to star in it, including Amanda Seyfried in the leading role. Now, Demi Moore has made her move to be a part of the movie, taking the role of the iconic Gloria Steinem, who infamously published an article in Ms. Magazine called “The Real Linda Lovelace” in which Steinem talked about the Deep Throat star’s abusive relationship with her pornographer husband Chuck Traynor.
We can just see it now — Demi hammering away at the keys of a typewriter, giving a voice to a woman who had none.
This is exactly the kind of distraction and challenge Demi needs to get past her messy divorce. She’ll need to spend long hours doing research and getting in touch with her character. Maybe she’ll take Gloria to lunch and be inspired or something.
Then, one day, it will just come to a point where she will say to herself, “Ashton who?”
