Denise Richards is opening up about her four-year marriage to Charlie Sheen.
On Tuesday night’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the 48-year-old actress got emotional when discussing her union to the Two and a Half Men actor.

The Bravolebrity revealed:
“It’s surreal when you start to see your kids become adults. It makes me cry… I just feel like I f**ked up a lot with their dad. I don’t want them to look back at their childhood and remember [arguments].”
The two were married from June 2002 to November 2006, and share two daughters: Sam, 15, and Lola, 13.
The World Is Not Enough vixen added:
“My girls have been through a lot… How I chose to relate to the dysfunction that was going on with their father was to hide it from the kids. I don’t know if I did a disservice or not. … It just made me realize how fast it goes. Life is so short and their childhood is so short.”
New husband Aaron Phypers comforted her by saying:
“You protected them from a lot. You did the best you could.”
While Richards also has 7-year-old daughter Eloise, Charlie has twins, Bob and Max (10), with ex Brooke Mueller, in addition to 34-year-old daughter Cassandra with ex Paula Profit.
According to Us Weekly in September 2018, Richards invited Sheen to her wedding to Phypers, but he did not make it.
Denise dished on a March 26 episode of RHOBH:
“Even if [Charlie] did bring a prostitute as his date, I wouldn’t care… No matter what’s gone down with Charlie and I, I invite Charlie to anything having to do with the kids and I.”
Speaking of her nuptials, Richards and Phypers tied the knot just TWO DAYS after announcing their engagement.
The whirlwind wedding went down in Malibu, in front of family, friends, and several of Denise’s RHOBH costars including Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Girardi, Teddi Mellencamp, and Lisa Vanderpump. Kyle Richards could not attend due to a previous engagement.
While speaking to The Daily Dish, Richards remarked:
“I am so happy to officially be married to the love of my life. I can’t wait for everyone to go on this incredible journey with me this season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It has been a wild ride so far!”
As to why the couple had a rapid-fire ceremony, a People source explained:
“Denise and Aaron just want a small group of people to be at the wedding, really just their inner circle. They’ve both done this before and this time just want to exchange vows in front of the people who are most important.”
Phypers was previously married to Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan, who is the ex-wife of Rinna’s husband, Harry Hamlin.
