Diddy REALLY Wants Witnesses To Stop Doing Press -- But Will His Latest Gag Order Request Do Anything?

Diddy Files To Expedite Gag Order After Witness Testifies To Having Seen Sex Tapes Showing Him With Child Stars!

Diddy is yet again fighting to get a gag order in place!

As Perezcious readers know, Sean Combs is currently behind bars without bail waiting for his sex trafficking trial to start in May. He’s also facing a s**t ton of sexual misconduct lawsuits.

Per The Daily Beast, Diddy filed a motion last month to put in place a gag order against anyone who could potentially be called to testify, but it was rejected. He also previously asked the court to put in place a gag order against government officials after accusing them of leaking evidence to the public. The request was denied, but a similar gag order was instated restricting federal agents, investigators, and the rapper’s team from leaking anything from the grand jury proceedings.

But now that witnesses are making waves with wild allegations against Puff, he’s trying to get more people banned from talking!

On Sunday, the musician’s attorneys, Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos, wrote in a statement to the judge that some folks are “undermining Mr. Combs’ right to a fair trial and the integrity of the grand jury proceedings.” In a letter obtained by Page Six, they added:

“As the Court is aware, Mr. Combs filed a motion to restrict extrajudicial statements by potential witnesses and their counsel … which the government has opposed. Mr. Combs’s reply is due on November 8, 2024.”

It continued:

“However, given the imminent harm of certain extrajudicial statements relating to the ongoing grand jury proceedings, we request that the court immediately restrain extrajudicial statements by potential witnesses and their counsel during the pendency of the motion.”

Specifically, the lawyers were concerned about Courtney Burgess, who just testified in front of a grand jury last week claiming to have received 11 flash drives from Diddy’s ex Kim Porter. The drives supposedly included her real memoir and eight sex tapes featuring eight celebrities, two to three of whom were minors at the time they were victimized by the music mogul. After testifying, Courtney and his attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd discussed the tapes on Banfield and with other outlets.

While including several articles about this situation in their filing, the legal team argued:

“Over the past several days, a grand jury witness and his attorney have given multiple interviews — including outside the courthouse immediately following his apparent grand jury testimony — making false and outrageous claims, including that the witness possesses videos of Mr. Combs involved in the sexual assault of celebrities and minors.”

The lawyers noted that Courtney “was subpoenaed after he made public statements on social media that he possessed videos of celebrities, including minors, being sexually assaulted.” They went on:

“These stories have spread rapidly through the media and created the impression that such videos exist, which is false, and that the government is actually crediting his sensational claims, which is profoundly prejudicial.”

Because of this, the team is asking the judge for a court order “restraining the speech of potential witnesses and their counsel.” Whoa! Diddy is clearly doing everything he can to try to stop the negative chatter about him, at least until he has to face this all in trial! We’ll see if it works…
