Rachel Zegler is once again under fire. No, not from the right-wing incel weirdos. Well, we mean, that never ended. But this time it’s someone far scarier and more powerful… Disney adults!
Once more Disney purists are NOT happy with the Snow White actress — this time for what they’re calling hypocrisy!

On Sunday, the 23-year-old took to Instagram to “pay tribute” to original voice actress Adriana Caselotti from the 1937 animated film she’s adapting. If you didn’t know, the late actress also provided design inspo for the character! So Rachel took her best shot at mimicking Adriana’s look! She led off an IG carousel with a photo posing in a short, curly hair ‘do topped with a Snow White-approved red bow. The second slide in the post included a side-by-side image of the 1937 Snow White character and Adriana posing in the exact same way. Then in the third slide, Rachel mimicked those poses in a black-and-white video! She wrote:
“just had to pay homage to the original snow white, miss adriana caselotti, to whom i owe everything”

Cute! Right?? Well, turns out many Disney fans are NOT impressed… Specifically because of Rachel’s previous comments about the OG film!
If you don’t remember, way back in 2022 Rachel criticized the 1937 movie HARD, calling it “weird”:
“The original cartoon came out in 1937, and very evidently so. There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird! Weird! So we didn’t do that this time.”
She also promised a sharp change for her version of the character:
“It’s no longer 1937. She’s not going to be saved by the prince and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and the leader that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave, and true.”
She was trying to play up the modern updates… but the way she attacked the beloved original had some Disney lovers up in arms! And annoyed someone who didn’t respect it would even be cast!
Now that she is showing reverence, those fans are calling her a “hypocrite”! In the comments, they wrote things like:
“Wait a minute, I thought Rachel Zegler said she didn’t like the original film. She’s a huge, lying hypocrite, and even Pinocchio knows when to cut the crap!”
“But you dissed the film you was in so so much”
“You talk bad about this movie and now is your inspiration hahahahah”
“Really you want to pay homage to her now. After all the nasty stuff you have been saying about her film. To [sic] little to [sic] late in my book.”
“So you can pay homage to her ‘looks’ but can’t respect her story, kind of contradicts the whole idea of being a modern feminist perspective to the story, doesn’t it?”
“Not wasting my money on this film. Am going to watch the og snow white and 7 dwarfs, perfect film.”
“Like putting a band aid on a bullet wound.”
Jeez!
As we’ve been following, the film has been riddled with controversy since before a single frame was shot… From Rachel’s comments, to the Seven Dwarfs debacle, to her and co-star Gal Gadot’s behind-the-scenes clash. That’s not even getting into the anti-woke crowd and all that noise!
