Mackenzie Shirilla has a lot of male admirers she is talking to while behind bars, and Dominic Russo‘s sister is not happy about it!
According to a newly surfaced phone call obtained by TMZ this week, the convicted killer chatted with her mom, Natalie Shirilla, about all the male pen pals she has amid serving two concurrent sentences of 15 years to life for murdering Dominic and Davion Flanagan in a brutal car crash. Mackenzie specifically gushed about a man named Kevin, saying:
“I love him. I don’t know who that is, but I love him. I don’t know how old he is. I don’t even really care that much. I just love him. Like, he’s so fun to talk to.”

The 21-year-old also name-dropped several other guys she likes talking to, such as Sam and Phil. She then added:
“It’s all boys. That’s so bad.”
It is unknown when the call took place, including whether it was before or after she had a prison girlfriend. Listen to the conversation, where Mackenzie also once again insisted she is innocent and will “reply” to anyone sending her hate mail:
Christine Russo, who participated in the new Netflix documentary about the death of her brother Dominic, The Crash, listened to the phone call. And speaking to TMZ on Friday, she ripped into Mackenzie’s behavior. Not only that, she slammed Natalie for focusing on strange dudes talking to her daughter instead of getting her proper help amid her time behind bars:
“She knows now her calls are recorded and that people have been reviewing them, you can tell how she’s carefully using her words. And I think it’s sad her mother condones her talking to strange men she doesn’t know. Like I said 100 times, and I’ll say it again till the day I die, that woman needs to tell her daughter to pick up a Bible and beg the Lord to save her soul, NOT WORRY ABOUT STRANGE OLDER MEN. GO TO THERAPY, GET HELP FOR YOUR KID.”

If Christine is upset about the pen pals, what does she think about Mackenzie’s other NSFW activities in prison? As we previously reported, she has been in quite a bit of trouble since she got locked up in 2023, including getting caught allegedly engaging in a sexually explicit video call with a visitor! Whoa! Mackenzie is fighting to get out of prison, but her behavior so far won’t help her reach this goal anytime soon!
