Childish Gambino’s days are numbered… but only as a musician. He’ll still apparently live to become Hollywood’s next big movie producer, as evidenced by the trailer for Donald Glover’s new film Guava Island.
The This is America singer, who goes by Gambino on the stage and Glover on the screen, premiered the sneak peek of his new film co-starring Rihanna during the PHAROS festival in New Zealand over the weekend.

Since the film is credited as “A Childish Gambino Film” and was helmed by This Is America music video director Hiro Murai, many are speculating that Guava Island is related to Gambino’s forthcoming album — which 35-year-old artist has revealed will be his last as his musical alter ego.
Glover has yet to comment on the album speculation. For now, we’re just hoping Riri’s on board for that project, too.
