Kanye West May Start His Own Church After Coachella Sunday Service!

Kanye West may start his own church!

Kanye West may take his faith to the next level.
As we reported, over the weekend, the Yeezus rapper hosted a special Easter Sunday Service at Coachella, which reportedly drew a crowd of over 50,000 people.

Prior to this, the musician held the enigmatic ceremony — featuring an enormous gospel choir and a live band — usually on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
Per a People source on Wednesday, the 41-year-old is considering starting his own church. Not surprisingly, however, Kanye will do it in a very Kanye way!
The insider dished:

“He has talked about starting his own church, and what exactly that would be… It wouldn’t be the traditional, 3-hymns-and-a-sermon thing. Instead, it would be a way to point people to Jesus through the arts and through a community of people who love and care for each other. He also wants his kids to be raised in faith, and the best way for him to do that is to live out his faith.”

The source also explained how the MC takes his faith very seriously, and devotes a good chunk of his time to fostering his spirituality.

“He is extremely passionate about his faith and wants to share it more regularly with people… He spends a lot of time studying and praying, and wants to share his journey.”

The insider added:

“Say what you want about Kanye, but he really does want to help people who need support… He understands brokenness and the need for healing, probably more than most people. He believes in the healing powers of music, but also believes that God can step in and heal people’s brokenness and their issues.”

As we reported earlier this month, wife Kim Kardashian discussed her husband’s Sunday Service to Elle, explaining:

“It’s honestly more like a healing experience for my husband. It’s just music; there’s no sermon… It’s definitely something he believes in—Jesus—and there’s a Christian vibe. But there’s no preaching. It’s just a very spiritual Christian experience.”

Despite the “Christian vibe,” the weekly event is inclusive to individuals of all faiths.

“[Sister Kourtney Kardashian’s] best friends come all the time and they’re Muslim. All my Jewish friends came on Sunday; they loved it. Everyone that comes understands it’s just a really healing experience with an amazing choir, and amazing messages about love to start off your week.”

As we wrote, attendees — who reportedly are required to sign non-disclosure agreements before they attend — are treated to a brunch before the service.
The event has reportedly attracted A-listers such as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Tyler, the Creator, Courtney Love, David LettermanChance the Rapper, Kid Cudi, 2 Chainz, Teyana Taylor, Donald Glover, Lizzo, and DMX.
Of course, KarJenners — including Khloé Kardashian, Kendall, Kylie Jenner, and her boyfriend Travis Scott — have also attended as well.
