Has Donald Trump finally gone too far for even his most ardent followers??
When we saw the video he posted to his Truth Social on Tuesday night, we were disgusted. If you haven’t heard, it’s titled “Gaza 2025” and it depicts Trump’s vision of the Middle East:
- wartorn homes of Palestinian refugee children replaced by luxury condos
- co-president Elon Musk stuffing his face and making it rain cash on local youngsters
- yachts and skyscrapers on the beach
- hotels with Trump’s name in lights…
- and a giant golden statue of Donald J. Trump, as well as little versions for everyone to pray to at home.
Yes, in his version of the Gaza Strip, he’s a literal golden idol. Oh, and the whole thing ends with Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu sipping cocktails on deck chairs, with the clear implication being Israel has completely wiped out the Palestinians and demolished the area, and Trump and Musk have come in and built a playground for the wealthy, like a new Dubai, atop the graves of all those who used to live there.

Even on Truth Social — Trump’s own social media platform, populated solely by his biggest supporters — there was backlash. Trump fans were aghast at the idea of Trump implicitly celebrating genocide as long as he gets to build on the ashes. Oh, and mostly the idea of his placement as a sort of god-king dictator with giant golden statues. Here are some of the offended comments:
“I could not be a bigger supporter of President Trump but this particular video is in very poor taste. Very poor taste, indeed!”
“I hate this. I love our president, but this is horrible.”
“Terrible idea! Haate this! you have done many great things but this is not one of them! Plz no!”
“Umm… not funny. I’m yr first fan when it comes to your funny side but this is not reading the room.”
“Worst video ever. Don’t promote that garbage”
“I have the upmost respect for you sir but this video is wrong”
“I hope your account was hacked because this is just flat out poor judgement”
“This feels all wrong and actually makes me sick. I have supported you since Day 1 but this is filth. There is no God in this.”
“How horrible! The golden statue is frightening. Reminds me of the Antichrist. Please don’t forget that this is not pleasing to God.”
“Only one deserves the glory and the honor, Mr President. The statue is a symbol of the antichrist, please humble yourself to God. Jesus is king and only Him.”
“You’re doing great Mr President. But don’t let it get to your head. God put you in that position for His glory, not yours.”
LOLz! Those last ones make us laugh. As if Trump has ever shown any evidence he’s ever been a Christian or cared in the slightest about anything other than glorifying and empowering himself.
And speaking of his followers not paying attention to him as he tells us who he is over and over again… This video is just a visualization of what he’s ALREADY SAID ALOUD he wants to do to the Gaza Strip! During his press conference during Netanyahu’s visit earlier this month, he said the plan for Gaza was for the US to “own it”:
“We’ll own it. We’re going to take over that piece, develop it and create thousands and thousands of jobs, and it will be something the entire Middle East can be proud of… I envision the world people living there, the world’s people. You’ll make that into an international unbelievable place. I think the potential in the Gaza strip is unbelievable.”
He said they would turn it into “the riviera of the Middle East.” We mean… that’s clearly what whoever made the AI video put into the prompt, right?
And Trump’s comments weren’t on a whim either! His son-in-law and former top adviser Jared Kushner said in a Harvard Q&A last year:
“Gaza’s waterfront property could be very valuable… if people would focus on building up livelihoods… It’s a little bit of an unfortunate situation there, but from Israel’s perspective I would do my best to move the people out and then clean it up. But I don’t think that Israel has stated that they don’t want the people to move back there afterwards.”
He’s suggesting Israel would like to let the Palestinians whom they’ve driven out… come back and rent high-priced apartments and buy condos??
What does Trump want to do with the Palestinians? He also doesn’t say the words “genocide” or “ethnic cleansing” but does essentially describe the latter, telling reporters about the Palestinians in that area in late January:
“You’re talking about a million and a half people … we just clean out that whole thing.”
As far as them being allowed back, like Jared suggested? Not so much. Trump said the refugees should stay in Egypt or wherever they’re driven to — and not come back because Gaza has “been very unlucky for them.”
So with all that out there… How are these Trumpers surprised??

Remember, Trump doesn’t apologize. He doubles down. He does it until his followers come around to his way of thinking. Because the most important thing is fealty to him. Hence… you can probably expect all this backlash to fade away as everyone instead falls in line and becomes pro-ethnic cleansing. We’d love to be wrong, but we can’t forget… “they’re sending rapists”, Access Hollywood, Charlottesville, January 6… it doesn’t matter. They always eventually give in and support him. The principles they’ve developed for decades may be offended in the moment… but when push comes to shove, they’re pot-committed. They’ll support this video soon.
Sorry if that’s grim, but it’s 2025. We hope we’re wrong… but even those comments that sounded offended were still giving Trump the benefit of the doubt. And we expect they’ll do it right up through him enacting his plan and afterward, too.
