This is the most articulate case we’ve ever heard for how Donald Trump should handle losing!!
John Oliver went deep on The Donald once again on HBO‘s Last Week Tonight, and it is truly a sight to behold — the British host has formulated the PERFECT plan to get arguably the worst presidential candidate in history OUT of the race!

In Sunday night’s episode, Oliver calls out Trump for being a bullsh*t artist, which, hey, nothing new there. But it’s all about how The Donald ought to peddle his bullsh*t that makes this so brilliant — and John knows exactly what to do!
Speaking directly to Donald, Oliver says:
“It seems that you have two really bad options here. If you keep going, you’re going to spend the next 11 weeks ramping up hatred in speeches, injecting poison into the American bloodstream that will take generations to remove, and denying the country the contest of ideas that a presidential campaign should actually be. And after that, you’re either going to win or you’re going to lose, and I think both of those scenarios end pretty badly for you. Which is why, Mr. Trump ├óΓé¼┬ª I would like to propose to you a third option. That is, drop out. Simply drop out, and tell America this entire candidacy was a stunt. A satire designed to expose the flaws in the system.”
Brilliant!!!
Trump, who hates losing, gets to save face by making it all a gag — and he would no longer be a villain because he was just playing a character to shine a light on America’s problems!
And the American people save themselves by not even coming close to electing the man who’d quite literally be the worst President in our nation’s history!!

Not only does Oliver give Trump a path out, the TV star also figures out a way to perfectly appeal to The Donald directly: by quoting a children’s book!!
Oliver enlists the voiceover help of actor Will Arnett to read passages from The Kid Who Ran For President, a 1996 children’s book by an author named Dan Gutman, which, Oliver argues, is strikingly similar to Trump’s own presidential run!
After a few HIGHlarious passages about no more homework (read to Trump’s infamous chant of Build That Wall!), Oliver lets Arnett drop the bomb on the adults of America for even letting things get this far (below):
“I have a question for the grown-ups of America├óΓé¼┬ª Are you out of your minds? Are you expecting me to enforce the Constitution? I’ve never even read it. I was absent from school that day. You want me as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces? What if somebody attacked the United States? Would you really want me in charge? America must be in really bad shape if you elected me president. You better get it together and find some really qualified people to run this country, or we’ll all be in big trouble.”
