Donald Trump has always had the Twitter behavior of a 14-year-old reality star, and many are disheartened his social media activity hasn’t become more presidential in the weeks following his election win.
Of course, not everyone thinks the Presidential-elect’s Twitter tantrums — which often include outlandish, erroneous statements — are a bad thing.
Specifically, outgoing Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus, who defended Trump on Sunday over his recent tweet claiming that “millions” of people had voted illegally for Hillary Clinton during the general election.

Face the Nation host John Dickerson challenged Priebus on the unsubstantiated claim, asking how Trump’s Chief of Staff can handle statements “when you know that that’s not true.”
In response, Priebus said we don’t know for sure “if that’s not true,” explaining “there are estimates all over the map” on undocumented immigrants voting in the election — and it was “possible” that millions voted illegally.
Okay, it’s “possible” that Barron Trump has autism — but that didn’t stop Melania Trump from getting justifiably upset when Rosie O’Donnell retweeted someone’s theory. So “possible” isn’t enough to just say whatever you want.
(Also though, this widespread invisible voter fraud ISN’T possible.)
When the CBS News host challenged Priebus, saying “there is not evidence that it happened in millions of votes in California,” Trump’s right hand man replied:
“I think the president-elect is someone who has pushed the envelope and caused people to think in this country. He’s not taking conventional thought — on every single issue and has caused people to look at things that maybe they have taken for granted.”
Well, at least we agree that Trump isn’t “taking conventional thought” — or ANY thought, for that matter:
As for House Speaker (and previous vocal Trump opponent) Paul Ryan, he has no problem with the President-elect’s overactive Twitter conspiracies — mostly because he seems to be repressing Trump’s election win in its entirety.
In an interview on Sunday’s 60 Minutes, Ryan said he could not prove Trump’s baseless claim about voter fraud, and wasn’t really paying attention to it in the first place. He explained:
“I don’t know. I’m not really focused on these things├óΓé¼┬ª It doesn’t matter to me. He won the election. The way I see the tweets you’re talking about, he’s basically giving voice to a lot of people who have felt that they were voiceless. He’s communicating with people in this country who’ve felt like they have not been listened to. He’s going to be an unconventional president.”
When pushed further, Ryan said it shouldn’t matter what a POTUS says on Twitter (you know, his most direct public forum) if he makes big changes in the White House.

He added:
“Who cares what he tweeted, you know, on some Thursday night, if we fix this country’s big problems? That’s just the way I look at this.”
It’s no surprise fellow Republicans are backing their leader, but it’s pretty obvious Ryan is being forced to defend a politician he doesn’t even remotely respect!
As for The Donald himself, his excuse for tweeting is simple:
If the press would cover me accurately & honorably, I would have far less reason to “tweet.” Sadly, I don’t know if that will ever happen!

Right… because accurately reporting terrible decisions, conflicts of interest, and fraud scandals is like, just so unfair…
