Dove's New Beauty Campaign Is Dumb & Twitter Lets 'Em Know It!

Dove unveils new body positive campaign.
Dove
‘s new campaign sure is inneresting.
Having exhausted all of its #realbeauty possibilities, the beauty brand has now resorted to subjecting its innocent bottles into taking on different “body” shapes to mimic the curves of the women using the products.
Or something like that.

A statement from the company reads:

“From curvaceous to slender, tall to petite, and whatever your skin colour, shoe size or hair type, beauty comes in a million different shapes and sizes. Our six exclusive bottle designs represent this diversity: just like women, we wanted to show that our iconic bottle can come in all shapes and sizes, too.”

“Iconic bottle”??? Calm down. It’s literally just a bottle.
Anyway, the whole idea is to make bottles look like different body types, from rotund to tall and slim to hourglass, etc. They may have succeeded but was it worth it? The whole thing is just dumb.
Twitter let ’em have it, in typical Twitter fashion.

Anyway, so this was apparently a total FAIL. LOLz!

Oh, Dove. You meant well.
