Drake Bell's Ex-Girlfriend Accuses Him Of Verbal & Physical Abuse In Series Of Unsettling TikTok Videos

Drake Bell is being accused of physical and verbal abuse by his ex-girlfriend, Melissa Lingafelt

Actor Drake Bell is facing serious allegations right now after being accused of physical and verbal abuse by ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt, who previously dated the star for several years in the 2000s.

In addition to speaking out against the actor for the alleged abuse in a series of TikTok videos published on Wednesday, Lingafelt also accused Bell of cheating on her with underage girls and shared messages purporting to prove her allegations from other women who started to come forward after she first made her public claims this week.

Bell, now 34, started to come under fire when Lingafelt openly called him out as “alcoholic” and “abusive” in her first TikTok post on the matter, gaining lots of initial attention to the issue (below):

Lingafelt — who dated the Drake & Josh star for several years up through roughly 2009 — went off from there, sharing a series of videos beginning with one that included her own voice-over slamming the TV actor of various alleged verbal and physical misdeeds.

In that particular TikTok clip, the now-30-year-old actress and singer levied the most serious accusations, saying:

“First off I’d like to start out by saying, I don’t really care if anyone believes me, as this is my story and my life, and something that I went through. It wasn’t until recently that I actually realized that abuse isn’t something that all women have to go through. I moved in with him, I was singing. It wasn’t until about a year when the verbal abuse started. And when I say verbal abuse, imagine the worst type of verbal abuse you could ever imagine, and that was what I got. It then turned to physical — hitting, throwing, everything. At the pinnacle of it, he drug [sic] me down the stairs of our house on Los Feliz. My face hit every step on the way down. I have photos of this.”

Whoa… Here’s the full (disturbing) accusation video, for context:

Lingafelt went further from there, ultimately using her TikTok account as a repository for accusations against Bell from other women that started to come forward in her wake. Still adding screenshots of other accusations against him as of Thursday morning, the singer and performing artist had put up at least six other serious claims from women allegedly affected by his behavior at the time of publication of this post.

The other allegations included rape and sexual assault, as with one woman (below) who accused the popular TV star of statutory rape:

Lingafelt continued her claims over on Instagram, as well, where she claimed to “have so many witnesses, I have photos, it was my life” in a continued accusation against her ex-boyfriend (below):

Drake Bell Reacts

In his own statement to People, Bell denied the claims made by Lingafelt, instead saying he “never abused” his ex-girlfriend. Still, he accounted for a particularly bad breakup between them, but stopped short of anything more, saying (below):

“I never abused my ex-girlfriend or did so many of the other things Melissa falsely claimed on her TikTok video. As our relationship ended — more than a decade ago — we, unfortunately, both called each other terrible names, as often happens when couples are breaking up. But that is it. Clearly, Melissa still felt close enough to me just last year that she was comfortable reaching out to ask me to provide her with financial support during a tough time (which I did). I do not know if today’s behavior is some kind of misguided quest for more money or attention, but I cannot and will not allow these offensive and defamatory allegations to go unchallenged and I am reviewing my legal options.”

Sounds very serious on both ends. Something tells us we haven’t heard the last of this one… Reactions, Perezcious readers? Sound off with your thoughts on this scary situation down in the comments (below).
