A fan named Elsa told DailyMail.com that several standing fans were told by guards to sit down. Additionally, the university student said one man was removed after reportedly waving a rainbow flag. She told the publication:

“Many fans at the front rows were holding the rainbow flags high, and I heard they were ordered to take down the flags, especially the fans in the first three rows… As a lover of western pop music and culture, this incident has broken my heart.”

Another attendee — who wished to stay anonymous in fear of repercussions — said she saw a female concert-goer get kicked out after allegedly giving a guard the middle finger after being told to sit down.
On Wednesday, shocking footage of the concert began circulating around social media:

Guards also reportedly fought with the removed attendees outside the concert venue.

Towards the end of the show, the 23-year-old songstress — who appeared to be crying — addressed the audience about wanting “to create a really safe environment for us all to have fun.”

On Thursday, Lipa released a statement on Twitter, saying she was “horrified by what happened.” Despite the drama, the starlet stands by her fans, and is grateful that they “felt safe enough to show [their] pride” at the concert.
