Dustin Lance Black Penning New Gay Rights TV Miniseries!

dustin watermark

Dustin Lance Black already has himself an Oscar, and now the Milk screenwriter will be trying for an Emmy!

DLB is teaming up with ABC to develop an 8-hour scripted TV miniseries based on his own long-time involvement in the gay rights movement!

AH-Mazing!!!

Black, who was raised in a strict mormon household in Texas, has been focused on fighting the GOOD fight for gay rights since hitting it big in Hollywood, including efforts to pass same-sex marriage laws nationwide and the repeal of California’s Proposition 8.

His 2011 play, 8, about the overturning of that amendment was met with rave reviews in New York and LA and had a star-studded cast on both coasts, including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Bomer and Kevin Bacon. And now that play is being adapted by Black for the big screen!

Where does this guy find the time to write so much and still be such a champion for LGBT rights?!?

We are SO happy to hear about Dustin’s new project and can’t WAIT to see who stars in it!

EQUALITY RULES!!!
