Dylan Sprouse Recalls Terrifying Attempted Home Invasion - And Sets The Record Straight About THIS Detail!

Dylan Sprouse is finally giving the full rundown of what happened during an attempted home invasion earlier this year!

As we previously reported, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum confronted a trespasser at his and his wife Barbara Palvin‘s home in the Hollywood Hills in April. Officers claimed Dylan held the suspect at gunpoint before tackling him to the ground, but he re-holstered it near the front gates of the property and restrained him until law enforcement arrived. And part of their confrontation was caught on camera. Little did we all know that Barbara had been pregnant with their first child during this time, too! How scary!

Months later, Dylan is telling the story of what went down that night for the first time! He recalled to co-host Brendan Columbus on an episode of their Wildmen podcast this week:

“Barbara and I were ripping Pokémon packs. She pulls huge. Flash forward, it’s 12:30 at night, and I’m lying on the couch playing video games…I never lock my front door until I go to bed. I really shouldn’t be saying this, but I’ve started to now, so nice try.”

At first, Dylan thought his dad showed up in the middle of the night. However, that is unusual for his father, who goes to bed early, and he quickly realized there was an intruder:

“So, I’m lying on the couch, and I don’t hear him come through the gate. All of a sudden, I’m hearing a rattle on my front door, and the first thought that goes through my head is my dad who comes by anytime he wants, [but] he would never show up at 12:30, because he’s in bed by 8. And the second thought that went through my head is someone’s trying to steal our Pokémon cards.”

That is what he’s worried about first? His Pokémon cards!? No, he is only joking! The 33-year-old actor insisted his collection “is far and away not the most valuable thing in the house — that’s obviously the life of my wife.” Good to know where his priorities really are! LOLz! Dylan said he then ran upstairs to grab a gun:

“I calculated this, because I looked at the front door cam. From the moment he’s trying to get from the door and turns away — twenty seconds outside with a gun. Upstairs, grab the 1911 Kimber, downstairs, out the door in 20 seconds. I look at Barbara and she’s like, ‘Is someone trying to break in?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, stay up here. Chill out.’ She goes, ‘I’m going to get the police on the phone.'”

Barbara also got in on the action! While mimicking her holding a gun, the Disney Channel star revealed the model “f**king killed it,” adding:

“She wasn’t crow’s nest out the upper-floor window.”

Eventually, Dylan actually came face-to-face with the intruder. First impression? They guy was super “mellow,” which made the child star think he had been “on something”:

“I’m standing by the side, and I go, ‘Who’s there?’ again. He goes, ‘Nobody!’ And I know he’s over there, so I have my gun raised and he walks out and the first thing I notice [as] he comes into the light, he’s walking really slow and he has a cigarette in one hand and a longboard skateboard in the other. That was my immediate lock, I went, ‘He must be kind of tweaking.’ I go, ‘Hey, follow me. We’re going to go out my property. Walk slow, keep your hands out, like, I don’t want any funny business.’ So, he complies. He’s really mellow about it. He’s not crazy.”

When Dylan asked “what the f**k were you thinking” to the man, he allegedly told the Big Daddy star, “‘Dude, I don’t even know where I am.'” Dylan then noticed that he had “a bunch of wires hanging out of his pocket” and a “bulge on his chest,” so he told the intruder to lift his sweatshirt. It turned out the guy only had a fanny pack on him, so Cole Sprouse‘s brother told him to sit until the police showed up:

“Case closed. Didn’t press charges, he got in the slammer because of his previous arrest warrants and I want to have him on the pod.”

OMG!

Although Dylan wishes this one part happened, it didn’t! He then clarified:

“I never tackled the guy, but everybody thinks I did and I’m not correcting them. I want people to think I did, because it’s cool.”

We would say maybe next time he’ll get to tackle someone, but let’s hope there isn’t a next time! But perhaps Dylan will get the next best thing: the guy on the podcast! Ha! But in all seriousness, we’re glad everyone is OK after the terrifying situation! Watch Dylan recount the story (below):
