This election was successful for animals with the passage of Prop B and the rejection of Prop 109.
Proposition B was passed in Missouri, making tougher rules concerning puppy mills. Missouri is known as the puppy mill capital, and they are working to rid themselves of that name.
Prop 109 was rejected in Arizona, which if passed would have taken away the rights of citizens to introduce ballot initiatives to protect wildlife. OMG!
Good thing people made good decisions on these two propositions.
There was however, some trouble in North Dakota with the rejection of Measure 2, which would have banned the canned hunting of deer and elk trapped inside fenced pens.
Too bad…
At least some things were done! We guess a little at a time still counts!!
