Ellen DeGeneres Mourns DJ Stephen 'tWitch' Boss In First Statement

Ellen DeGeneres has spoken out about the shocking loss of her “fake DJ”, Stephen “tWitch” Boss. Taking to Twitter she wrote:

“I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”

So sad…

As we’ve been reporting, the 40-year-old dance legend was found dead on Tuesday, reportedly of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Just for fans, the loss of tWitch has been devastating and completely shocking. We can’t imagine what it must be like for those who knew him well. And Ellen did.

The So You Think You Can Dance runner-up joined the show back in 2014 and breathed new life into the daytime staple. His sincerity — and genuine rapport with the controversial host — was one of the most heartwarming things on TV over the past few years.

When Ellen was leaving the show, she gave her friend one final tribute, and it has taken on a new life after his passing…

So sweet. His heart and his energy will be missed.
