Former Ellen Producer Andy Lassner isn’t quite convinced about the revelations Allison Holker recently made on Stephen “tWitch” Boss.
You probably remember Andy as one of Ellen DeGeneres‘ sidekicks on her daytime TV show. He was a fan favorite and participated in many of the show’s extra bits and games alongside the cast. He was particularly close to the show’s DJ, and ever since controversy started with Allison’s memoir, things just aren’t sitting right with him.

Earlier this week, the wife of the late TV personality revealed some shocking things about his life while discussing her new memoir This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light. For the most part, everyone seems to be in agreement that she’s disgracing the dancer’s memory by sharing these things, but she’s maintained that exposing his secrets is what he would want. His mom has even come forward to bash the widow for what she’s doing.
Andy is now giving his two cents on the things Allison shared — but his problem doesn’t lie with whether it’s “right or wrong”. His issue is that he doesn’t believe what she’s saying about tWitch’s personal life. He shared on his Instagram Stories:
“Here’s the thing about addicts: we know each other. Whether we’ve got 10 days clean or 10 years, there’s this unspoken recognition. A vibe, a nod, a ‘yep, I see you.’ It’s instant. tWitch never gave me that. At all. He carried light, joy, and kindness in a way that made people feel safe and seen. Every day his energy wasn’t the chaos of addiction – it was the calm that so many of us fight for.”
The producer went on to say he understands the aspect of “keeping secrets”, but he doesn’t believe “anyone” could hide and lie that well:
“Obviously, as an addict, I know about keeping secrets and bulls**tting the world about who we are. I’m not saying there weren’t maybe some things about his life I was completely missing. But if there were, he was as good at hiding them as anyone I’ve ever seen. Ever.”
He wrapped up his post by saying tWitch was a “king” who “deserves to be remembered” in a better light:
“My heart has never stopped hurting for his wife, kids and family. I’m not here to weigh in on what is right or wrong, or what is true or not. But I am here to tell you that the man I knew for many years was an absolute king and I think he deserves to be remembered that way.”
