Eric McCormack doesn’t want you worrying about the alleged feud between his Will & Grace cast mates!
The 56-year-old addressed the “crazy” rumors of a beef between costars Debra Messing and Megan Mullally at the Project Angel Food Angel Awards Gala on Saturday, telling Us Weekly he thinks speculators need to direct their energy elsewhere.
The actor explained:
“It seems crazy. It is crazy! I think people worried about that entirely too much.”
That may be true. However, Deb and Meg are giving us reasons to worry!

As we reported, beef rumors began to swirl when fans noticed Messing and Mullally stopped following each other on Instagram earlier this year. On top of that, Messing seemingly snubbed Mullally by tagging everyone except the 60-year-old in an Emmys’ “For Your Consideration” post for the revived sitcom.
See (below):
Megan, for her part, has been sharing seemingly pointed IG posts throughout the year. She shared two particularly telling posts back in January — the first of which was of text reading:
“You can meet somebody tomorrow who has better intentions for you than someone you’ve known forever. Time means nothing, character does.”
About which the Emmy winner wrote:
“okay what i get from this goes a little something like this: not everyone is going to be in your corner. it’s okay to let go of relationships that aren’t healthy and positive, even with people you’ve known for years and once trusted. there are other people on the planet. look for friendships that are genuine, kind, supportive, and reciprocal. avoid those who have betrayed, bullied, or abused you in the past. they don’t have your best intentions at heart.”
In a separate, similar post about removing toxic people from one’s life, Meg explicitly called out “work” and “friendships.”
The subtle IG shading led viewers to believe the NBC reboot is on its final season due to a feud between the two — but McCormack is putting all that to rest.
He said:
“The show’s ending because we want to make sure that it ends up properly, that we go out on top, that it never gets sort of lost in the shuffle. We’re going to go out, I think those 18 episodes airing in a row, NBC’s doing it all at once, which I used to love that. So it’s going to go big. It’s going to go out in a way that I’m really going to be proud of.”
The actor went on to dismiss rumors of the on set feud, insisting he, Messing, Mullally, and costar Sean Hayes “get along like a house on fire.”
What an analogy!
