Yesterday, Josh Duhamel & Fergie welcomed their first child into the world – a boy!
When we caught wind of what their sweet child’s name was – Axl Jack – we immediately became VERY curious how the loving parents came up with the name.
Well, apparently Fergie is a BIG fan of Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses and decided to take his first name and pay homage to it with her son’s name!
Here’s what a source said:
“Fergie is a huge Guns ‘N Roses fan – one of her career highlights has been performing and recording with Slash – so Axl makes perfect sense.”
Fergie has also verbalized her love for Axl in the past, saying:
“Some of my biggest vocal idols are rock and roll. I mean Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Axl Rose, Robert Plant. These are people that I have emulated vocally.”
Wow – we love the whole backstory on this name!!
And it works out because that is definitely a wonderful name!!
