A man in Startford, east London had his home catch on fire!!
That’s horrible enough as it is, but what made it worse was his cat was found lying motionless by responding firefighters.
Michael Morrison, the cat’s owner, begged firefighters to save his kitty.
Morrison said:
“It was horrible. I collapsed on the floor crying. They were all huddled around her and even took my oxygen mask off for her.”
After putting the oxygen mask on the cat, they were able to restart her breathing!
She was then taken to the Celia Hammond Animal Trust center where she was placed in an oxygen tent for two days while being fed through tubes!!
A vet at the center said:
“When she came in, we had no idea whether she would regain any normal functions. But she has come on in leaps and bounds… Although she is still wobbly we hope that she will regain full normality in time.”
Since then, she’s relearning how to walk and eat and is improving rapidly!!
All thanks to some quick thinking firefighters!
Way to go guys! Firefighters are just built to save kitties we guess!
