This is def an unlikely couple, but that just makes this all the cuter!
Penny the silkie chicken and Roo the two-legged chihuahua were both rescued by Alicia Williams of Duluth Animal Hospital.
In a super cute turn of events, the two have become an inseparable pair.
They strut around together, they play together and they even nap together. Which is probably so adorable that if you look directly at it, you’ll go blind.
Penny the chicken was rescued first from a lab, Alicia said:
“She was an experimental chicken in the program and she had run the course of the experiment, so that was it for her. I happened to be there … I asked if I could have her instead of them doing anything with her. I brought her home.”
Wow, what a simple rescue! Sounds like fate.
Then, about a year ago, Roo the chihuahua was found shivering in a ditch in a park. His front legs were only partially formed, so it was assumed he was abandoned by breeders.
And now the two cutie critters are absolute best friends! Alicia said:
“Penny gets excited when Roo is around because she knows he├óΓé¼Γäós got treats and food all of the time. [Roo] loves snuggling with her because that’s his big teddy bear.”
So friggin’ sweet!!
We would do anything to cuddle up with these two and take a nap! So adoraballs.
