Following The Terrorist Attack, 'Stupidity Will Not Win' & Charlie Hebdo Will Publish An Issue Next Week

charlie hebdo publish issue following terrorist attack
Wow. This takes some true courage — courage we’re so glad they have!
After suffering a truly barbaric terrorist attack in Paris, France yesterday on January 7th, satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo will go forward with publishing an issue next week.
In an attack that killed 12 people, those who are still alive and working for the newspaper will put out an issue next week.

They are hoping to publish upwards of one million copies of the issue, which is a MUCH higher number from the 60,000 they normally publish weekly.
In addition to this, they will also cut down the length of the issue from sixteen pages — it’s normal amount — to eight pages.
Charlie Hebdo columnist Patrick Pollux spoke out about the decision, saying:

“It’s very hard. We are all suffering, with grief, with fear, but we will do it anyway because stupidity will not win.”

What incredibly poignant point about everything that happened.

It’s important now, more than ever that they continue forward with publishing the issue what with two of the three assailants STILL on the loose in France.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this awful attack. We hope they catch ALL those responsible, if this extends further than just the two brothers still at large.
