Tragic! French Producer DJ Mehdi Passes Away At 34

Truly, truly sad.

This morning, we learned that French producer Mehdi Faveris-Essadi, otherwise known as DJ Mehdi, passed away at 34-years-old due to an “accident.”

DJ Mehdi is a big name in the French electro/house scene, and he’s worked with many well-known artists including Chromeo, Miike Snow, and Architecture in Helsinki.

Recently, Mehdi’s single Signatune was reworked by Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, selling 9,000 downloads in the U.S.

Mehdi leaves behind his wife Fafi, who is a renowned French graffiti artist.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mehdi’s wife, and his other loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
