Frozen Planet Did NOT Give Whiskey To Penguins

Oops.
It turns out the story about cameramen for Frozen Planet giving whiskey to penguins to make them “act up” for the camera was a total joke.
We knew something we fishy with the story.
Apparently we didn’t realize that TheDailyMash.co.uk was a satirical website, similar to TheOnion.com.
They describe themselves as:

“[…] a satirical website covering national and international news with spoof stories, commentary and opinion. (i.e. it’s all made-up and is not intended, in any way whatsoever, to be taken as factual. Hello lawyers.)”

Sorry to Discovery and the entire Frozen Planet crew, next time we find a story we don’t believe… we won’t.
