Free at last! Free at last!
He only spent a few hours in the slammer, but George Clooney has been offically released from police custody after being taken in this morning for protesting in Washington, D.C.
You would’ve never guessed that George was just arrested, considering his downright gleeful disposition coming out of the station, where he greeted reporters with a smile and a few jokes! When asked about his brief stint in jail, Georgie told reporters:
“It is on my permanent record. And you know that that picture’s going to be all over everything … Listen, what we’ve been trying to achieve today is we’re trying to bring attention to an ongoing emergency. Our job right now is to try to bring attention to it, and one of those ways was, apparently, get arrested.”
That’s one way to do it! LOL!
But as George was leaving to head on home from his not-so-hard day doing hard time, he added:
“You never know if you’re going to accomplish anything, all we’re trying to do is bring attention to a moment. We hope this brings attention to it.”
We truy think you accomplished something today! We guarantee that most people probably couldn’t have even explained where Sudan is on the map, let alone understand what you were protesting today. Now, its on everyone’s radar.
We’re so proud! Good on ya, George!
