We’re sure it’s only the beginning of things to sell!
Now you can own a piece of authentic Michael Jackson history, if you are wealthy enough to afford it. Famously nicknamed “The Gloved One”, a pair of MJ’s electric white gloves will be going up for auction in October.
Worn by the singer on the 1984 Victory Tour with his brothers, the gloves were used in his performance of Suit of Lights and could sell in the six figures! Joseph Maddalena, who heads auction house Profiles in History, says, “I estimate (the value) at $60,000 to $80,000, but it could sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
We’re sure it will, as things like this tend to rise in value once a performer passes.
Other items included in the auction are costumes Jackson wore on stage, a platinum record for the 20 millionth copy of Thriller and a fedora the singer wore that says on the headband that it was made expressly for Jackson.
