Gina Rodriguez Admits Dating Is 'Difficult' Following Her Transformative Golden Globes Win

Gina Rodriguez rise to fame was almost instantaneous.
Following a critically acclaimed debut on Jane The Virgin, the actress quickly experienced the highs and lows of celebrity, including a breakup and a Golden Globes win. Ironically enough, Rodriguez’s split from her boyfriend of one year Henri Esteve came just seven months after she won best actress in a comedy series.

Speaking on her fluctuating luck, the gorgeous latina explained:

“Relationships and friendships have gotten a little more difficult. You have to keep a real and honest and clear passageway with everybody in your life. You can’t allow the yes men to get in your head because the hype can be scary.”

Aw. It seems like Gina is just doing the best she can in extraordinary circumstances.
Who knows, maybe the 31-year-old has struggled with these issues for a while considering she posted this poignant quote about relationships not too long ago:
