Justin Baldoni's Jane the Virgin Costar Brett Dier Speaks Out on Actor's 'Really Intense' Blake Lively Legal Battle

Finally, one of Justin Baldoni‘s Jane the Virgin co-stars is speaking out about his It Ends With Us drama!

Justin was on the hit CW show for several years before getting embroiled in a legal battle with Blake Lively amid allegations of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her. Most of his former castmates have remained incredibly quiet about what it was like to work with him back then… until now!

In an interview with Fan Mail out on Thursday, actor Brett Dier — who played leading lady Gina Rodriguez‘s other love interest in the series opposite Justin — was asked whether he gets questioned about Justin’s “situation” much, and he replied:

“Yeah, I get that a lot. It’s a really intense situation.”

He knew not to say much about the legal scandal — probably trying to avoid getting dragged into it like others — but he did say something pretty telling about his own relationship with the actor, adding:

“I probably shouldn’t say much, but I’ll say this: I always loved Justin. He’s always been an amazing friend to me. I’m just hoping everything resolves in time.”

Hmm. It’s cryptic, but certainly supportive! That seems to be the general consensus from those who have spoken out from the cast, including Gina who said in September that Justin is like her “brother” and the person she is closest to after wrapping the show in 2019. Justin credited her as one of few who “really showed up for me” during the early days of the controversy, too. So, it seems like he doesn’t have such a bad reputation on that set compared to the Colleen Hoover adaptation film set!

Reactions?? Sound OFF (below)!
