Lea Michele & The Cast Of Glee Remembers Cory & Finn: Watch Every Performance From Last Night's Episode HERE

There are few words to accurately describe the emotion of Thursday night’s episode of Glee.

The cast remembered Finn and Cory Monteith in the most beautiful way, as Cory would have wanted it — by staying true to the series’ tone and heart. Though many moments were laced with tears and sadness, the writers managed to infuse some joy in there as well.

Each performance, however, was built from genuine grieving and celebration of The Quarterback. So we hope you’ve come prepared with an ample amount of Kleenex…

True to form, Lea Michele stole the show with her heartbreaking rendition of Make You Feel My Love. Originally performed by Bob Dylan, the song has been covered by Adele and, as Rachel Berry informed us last night, by herself during the first car ride she felt comfortable enough to sing in with Finn. Fiction? Something tells us no.

Cory had countless moments of love throughout his life, and that’s how we will measure his time spent with us on this plane. So needless to say, we couldn’t find it any more appropriate when the cast began the episode with Seasons of Love from the Broadway classic Rent.

Amber Riley, aka Mercedes, returned to pay tribute with I’ll Stand By You. Stunning, as always.

Then, the New Directions (as well as some Old) came together for a performance of Fire and Rain. Kevin McHale and Chord Overstreet really shined in this one.

Mark Salling presented us with a stellar performance last night. In this cover of No Surrender, we can feel the pain and anger both he and Puck were feeling to have lost such a dear friend too soon.

Speaking of anger, when Santana wasn’t assaulting Sue, she was singing beautifully. And screaming not so beautifully… but Naya Rivera can almost do anything she wants and it’ll always come off as sexy.
