Girl Group G.R.L. Is Coming Back Nearly 2 Years After Singer Simone Battle's Sudden Suicide

UPDATE JULY 29 5:46 P.M. EST: Emmalyn Estrada’s rep tells us she isn’t rejoining the group, but wishes them the best. She is currently focusing on her solo career with a hot new track called #FreeTitties — check it out HERE!

The girls are back in town!
It’s been nearly two years since rising pop star Simone Battle took her own life, but her G.R.L. bandmates finally seem ready to get back to making music.
As you may remember, Lauren Bennett, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula van Oppen tried to keep the girl group together after the sudden suicide, but after releasing their musical tribute Lighthouse in honor of the late singer, they decided to go their separate ways.

Now, about a year after they first called it quits, a message on their management website has us pretty convinced the girls are getting the band back together!
In fact, the Robin Antin-formed Ugly Heart singers are pretty much guaranteed a reunion thanks to this simple note:

“GRL are back. Watch this space.”

Sounds good to us!
Simone tried to make it big on X Factor before committing suicide, but we’re happy to see that her legacy will be living on through Lauren, Emmalyn, Natasha, and Paula.
Are U at all interested in more music from G.R.L.??
