Watch out, Madonna! Your ex-husband is taking a stab at the music biz!
Director Guy Ritchie is launching his own record label after being inspired by the local band that plays at his London pub, The Punchbowl.
The Punchbowl Band regularly plays at the pub and Guy thinks they have it what it takes to make it big saying:
“It’s exciting to venture into the music industry. It’s a tough place, but I’ve seen this band connect with people. They have every change of being embraced by a wider audience.”
The Punchbowl Band will release their debut album Journey on March 1 via Punchbowl Records, a subsidiary of Universal Records.
Not only is Guy getting into the music industry, but he’s also expanding his booze empire and launching his own brewery!
Ritchie has already registered the names of his future ales to prepare for the business venture including Bitta Ritchie, Punch Bowl Beers, Punch Bowl Ales and Ashcombe Ales.
He’s certainly been keeping busy! Madge who?
