Gypsy Rose Blanchard says she isn’t ready yet to walk down the aisle and say “I do” to baby daddy Ken Urker, and the reason for that romantic pause is… her ex-husband Ryan Anderson.
Huh?!
On Monday night, the newest episode of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up dropped on Lifetime. During the ep, the 33-year-old recounted her turbulent romantic history with Ken — and how Ryan factors in! As you may recall, Gypsy Rose first got engaged to Ken waaaaaaaay back in 2018 while she was still doin’ time for her role in her mother Clauddine ‘Dee Dee’ Blanchard‘s 2015 murder. The duo didn’t last long that first time around, tho, before splitting in 2019.
Then, after GRB was sprung from the slammer, she eventually married Ryan. But they didn’t last long, either, before divorcing in April of last year. Then, following her split from Anderson, Gypsy Rose got back together with Ken. The rebound was fast, and shocking to everyone who had been following her story. And it was shocking to Gypsy, too!

During Monday night’s new ep, the Missouri native confessed that her romantic reconnection with Ken so soon after splitting from Ryan was caused by “hormones” which made her move “so fast” on the rebound path:
“When we reconnected, it was the hormones. The hormones made me move so fast. Do I regret it? I don’t regret the choices I’ve made with him. What I regret is how I went about it.”
While Gypsy Rose wouldn’t take back her love story with Ken, it does sound like she regrets hurting Ryan with the quickie Ken reconciliation and super public relationship. And THAT is the reason why she’s not rushing down the aisle to wed Ken as soon as possible!
As she explained in a confessional during the episode, another “hasty decision” at this point in her life would be a bad move:
“I wouldn’t take it back, but I wish it would have been different for Ryan’s sake. People got hurt, and I recognize that a lot more now. The last thing I want to do is make another hasty decision.”
We totally get that! But at the same time, these two did just have a kid together. And Ryan was unexpectedly involved in that sitch, too! Soooo it’s not like Gypsy and Ken are taking their sweet time with a casual relationship! LOLz!
Nevertheless, Gypsy Rose also confessed that she probably wouldn’t have to worry about Ken proposing anytime soon no matter what her feelings may be about the marriage question. That’s because as she admitted in the ep (which was filmed last year), Ken “hasn’t proposed” and also “hasn’t hinted around to proposing.”
She explained:
“He’s just making big statements of love, and with an upcoming baby, with my divorce about to be finalized, that’s when we move into unknown territory that I am free. I’m not married to Ryan anymore. I’m not held down by that. Anything can happen.”
Anything can happen, indeed!
The reality TV star tried to sum it all up by addressing the five-ish years that her and Ken were split up before reconciling in 2024. To hear her tell it, the personal growth that came from that period of her life has been a good thing:
“I have loved this man for seven years. I am so happy and content. Is everything rainbows and sunshine? Hell, no! But I feel like we’ve gotten to a place that we can be open with each other about the time that we were separated, we’re able to handle things in a more mature way now.”
Hmmm…
As you’ll no doubt recall, the last episode of Life After Lock Up had throngs of fans breaking the internet with warnings about Ken’s supposed “red flags.” And now these wedding woes?! Makes ya wonder a little bit. Just saying!
