Hailey Bieber knows it’s never a bad time to get in good with the in-laws!
The 22-year-old love of Justin Bieber took to Instagram over the weekend to publicly and openly comment on the Biebs’ 44-year-old mom Pattie Mallette‘s page, flattering her mother-in-law with a series of nice compliments!

Late Friday night, Mallette posted a series of selfies to her IG page for the whole world to see, including you right here (below):

Thousands of Justin’s fans quickly descended to comment on the page — and that included Hailey, who is a quick study in learning how flattery will get you EVERYWHERE! LOLz!!
Commenting on Pattie’s pics along with everyone else, Hailey said (below):
“How does my mother in law look 21???!!? The most beautiful!!!”
Awww! Very sweet and sincere — and certainly a little bit of a nod to playing nice with the in-laws! That’s probably for the best!!!
Of course, the flattery comes right on the tail end of one of Justin’s (and by extension, Hailey’s) most controversial recent times — that of the Taylor Swift open letter on Tumblr that shook up the music industry. Justin fumbled his public apology to Taylor — very, very badly, we might add — and Hailey’s IG comment support of Justin in that whole controversy was roundly mocked by pretty much everyone involved.
But now, Hailey is bravely wading her way back into the comment section… though admittedly in a significantly less risky way than commenting on some of Justin’s highly charged posts. Probably not much trouble to be had here! Ha!!

Add to that the fact that Hailey and Justin are reportedly planning a major (second) wedding at some point in the near future, and it makes some sense that the 22-year-old model wants to continue to stay on her mother-in-law’s good side. The two families will be coming together soon enough again… no such thing as being TOO sure that things will go off smoothly and without a hitch!
